BIOGRAPHY
Flavia Loreto is a Rome-born photographer and cultural educator who has lived in Delaware since 2019 and became a United States citizen in 2025. Through her work, she promotes Italian heritage by combining photography, language, and cultural initiatives.
She works as a compliance specialist in the International Affairs office at Wilmington University and continues her freelance photography practice. Flavia is the founder of Learn Italian with Passion, where she teaches Italian language and culture to small groups of adults and children. She also curates and presents her own photography exhibitions, creates cultural events, and serves as a bridge between the Italian-American community in Delaware and the Italian Consulate in Philadelphia.
In October 2025, she curated the Italian film event Alberto Sordi: Secret during the Wilmington International Film Festival, where she presented her photography exhibition La Mia Roma. Her exhibitions include A Day in Naples (San Francisco, 2017; Wilmington, 2020), Souls (Wilmington, 2021), Resonance (Wilmington, 2022), and Whispers of Nature (Philadelphia, 2023).
